12/11/2019

There are lots of ways to help others. If you work in IT, it doesn’t mean that your help must be IT-related. Our colleagues regularly take part in blood donations, and on December 11, 2019, they also joined the donor movement “Start saving lives with us.”

EQUIPPING A UNIVERSITY COMPUTER LAB
12/08/2019

We helped the faculty of applied mathematics at Dnipro National University to renovate and upgrade their computer lab. The new lab was officially opened on September 8, 2019. Students of the applied mathematics faculty can now learn software development and practice their skills using modern hardware.

A lot of Apriorit employees, including company founder Denis Turpitka, were students of this faculty at Dnipro National University. It’s well-known for quality mathematical and computer training and for inspiring creative thinking and initiative in its students. These qualities help our company grow. That’s why we believe that the renovation of the computer lab for students of the faculty of applied mathematics is an investment in our future. We are pleased to have helped students improve their professional skills and become IT experts.

SUPPORTING TECHNOVATION PROJECT
05/31/2019

Apriorit partnered with the international Technovation Challenge. Supported by the Western NIS Enterprise Fund, Ukraine joined the program in 2016 in partnership with the Peace Corps in Ukraine.

Technovation Challenge is the world’s largest tech and IT entrepreneurship contest for girls aged 10-18. It aims to promote programming among girls, develop their professional skills in IT, and advocate women’s leadership. Technovation Challenge is one of the key initiatives guiding girls through their role in society and breaking stereotypes about women in IT.

There is still a widespread stereotype that programming is a male field. This is one of the reasons for the serious gender disparity in technical studies and a lack of IT experts.

”Based on our 17 years of company experience, I’m absolutely sure that gender has no effect on code quality. While addressing the challenges of the wider world, Apriorit is committed to creating a healthy environment within the company and around it. We are convinced that having businesses support projects like Technovation will help us break the strong stereotype, contribute to the development of professional skills among women, and eventually ensure the comprehensive growth of the IT sector.”

— Apriorit CEO Denys Turpitka.

During the challenge, teams developed mobile applications to address pressing issues: environmental pollution, health, safety, inclusion, infrastructure, education, domestic violence, homelessness, and even parent–child communication. Two teams, the winners of the regional pitch events in 2017 and 2018, made their way to the Technovation World Pitch Summit held in San Francisco, USA. The participants took a close look at the Silicon Valley IT giants, visiting the offices of Google, Microsoft, Adobe, and other companies.
